    • This bear looks like it's seen better days So in Japan There's a deep-rooted culture of taking great care of one's belongings regardless of its value with Japanese Meticulously maintaining their possessions as long as possible This mindset stems from Shinto beliefs that gods inhabit nature and everyday objects fostering a deep respect for possessions While similar values exist in other cultures Japanese children are taught this reverence from a young age Although the rise of mass production goods are slowly changing these attitudes This belief remains ingrained in Japanese culture making the repair industry in the country, especially vital So what would you say is the best part about your job?

    • Walk through here oh there's the hallway this is a nice ladies room oh these toilets are like they look pretty new they just opened up you got a sink you got an odd like the Japanese toilets which I love you guys know got two toilets all together so wow let's continue on and then the men's room shouldn't be too much different okay so the men's room has a urinal and oh that doesn't look good looks like there's a little hole in the ceiling probably need to fix that a little bit and then you have another toilet here but there's a spider here hi little spider just between the two bathrooms you can see that it's all connected I wish we were doing this when it wasn't raining would look a lot better but we're doing this kind of in the dark it is what it is luckily we have a light so this is another guest room it seems like you can divide it into two rooms with sliding doors which you see in many traditional Japanese houses there's also this historic like vase with the colorful paintings on it and it looks like the shoji window has probably seen better days maybe needs to be fixed but I don't think it's that big of a deal now let's check out the view so it looks like it just looks over the street these roof tiles I think it's actually someone else's house so I don't think it's part of this building and then they built these buildings so close to together you look down and you can just see that there's like a little alleyway or a little space between also the quality of the tatami is actually fairly decent relatively new I guess 2015 not so long ago so this room is connected to the previous one divided by just sliding doors okay huh okay so this is the storage closet you have all of the extra sheets man you go for a time without having to wash any sheets if you just use these you got a bunch of robes as well the top layer and then like pajamas and stuff oh we got some alcohol down here you got the tones right here it looks like a toolkit down there all right so let's continue on dude it is really coming down actually a funny little story on my way here from Tokyo I was on the shinkansen and because of the thunderstorm it actually stopped and I was like stranded on the shinkansen for maybe like I don't know 45 minutes it was like stop like stop stranded and we were stopped at one of the stations in between Tokyo and Nagoya luckily the seat had an AC outlet so I just charged my phone just hang out still made it with a little bit of time I don't know about you guys but I do enjoy being able to go and check out these remote places oh cool there is a little tile painting right here always fun to check out what's inside these cabinets yep cleaning supplies makes sense usually you're not supposed to open these when you're at a hotel oh cool so this is the garden that we were just upstairs looking at okay so this looks like the bath area used like a onsen bath area you got the sinks and everything as may be expected the amenities bath necessities goods and towels are left as is three shower baths and I guess this is the onsen bath here I'm actually not sure if it's onsen water or not it does make a difference especially to Maiko when we're traveling she prefers onsen water not just like hot bath water okay so this is the actual bath area that I'm standing in actually pretty cool sit like this another person sit like this this is probably the women's or the men's I don't know not sure let me know what you guys think in the comments whether you think this is the women's or the men's and then I think we're going to go to the other one apparently it's supposed to be a little bit different so let's go over there and check that out you know one of the best things about going to a ryokan is going to the onsen bath I'm into saunas these days so try to go to ones that have saunas when there are no saunas it is nice to have you know an onsen bath so this is another bath it looks a bit smaller but maybe more modern I guess oh and it looks like it even has some jacuzzi jets built into the tub which I think some people will enjoy okay so I think that's it $210,000 do you think it's worth it and if you got it what kind of renovations would you make let me know in the comments you know like always if you like this video if you like this type of hit that like button help me out if you guys want to help support the channel then definitely check out the merch I know I didn't wear it this time but you can check out the hot sauce the hot sauce is actually in stock now the original and umami ocean so perfect time to get as a gift for friends and family and if you guys want to see more videos like this or anything related to Japan hit that subscribe button and the bell button I'll catch you guys in the next one
